There are many things that we hold important to our children and ourselves however, one of the most important items is Education. At WDCX Radio, the month of August will be known as Education August. All month long we will be discussing faith in education to build awareness and generate focus around many of today’s issues affecting our children and their schooling.
WDCX Radio will be running a station wide school supply drive in partnership with The Teacher’s Desk, a faith-based, local, non-profit organization that provides school supplies to under-supplied public and parochial school teachers.
The reality is that in spite of millions of dollars of wasteful spending on education, many individual classroom teachers still use their own money to purchase necessary items for students in need. Pencils, notebooks, pens, backpacks, etc. WDCX Radio has been asked by the Teacher’s Desk to collect glue sticks and facial tissues during the month of August. The Teacher’s Desk has supplied more than 4 million dollars worth of supplies to Buffalo Teachers over the past four years and we are thrilled to partner with them.
