Buffalo City Mission

Due to covid-19 regulations, this summer may be a lot different… no kids or youth camps, limited vacation options, few events to go to. But for someone who’s homeless, this summer will be filled with struggles far greater than what you and I are facing.

Imagine spending this summer wondering where you will sleep, or where you will find your next meal. The Buffalo City Mission helps to alleviate those overwhelming fears for hundreds of individuals on a daily basis. With YOUR help, those who turn to the Buffalo City Mission receive nutritious meals, water to keep hydrated, safe shelter, and life-transforming programs that provide renewed hope and skills to put them on a path of self-sufficiency.

Our Mission Statement

Buffalo City Mission exists to meet the spiritual and practical needs of the poor through the demonstration of the love and preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

Buffalo City Mission’s vision is to restore hope to the homeless and hurting of Western New York. We provide emergency shelter and nourishing meals to thousands of homeless men, women and children. But we don’t believe that’s enough.

With the strengths of our Men’s Center and our new state-of-the-art shelter for women and children, Cornerstone Manor, Buffalo City Mission provides comprehensive recovery programs to help homeless men, women and children rebuild stable, healthy, productive lives.

We believe Jesus calls us to open our arms wide as the need grows. We will continue to expand our services and develop innovative programs as the complexities of homelessness change.

Our Purpose

The purpose of Buffalo City Mission is to proclaim and demonstrate the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ, meeting the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of men, women and children who are homeless or in need of hope.
